Research & Development specialist in Statistical software innovation (gn)

  • Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract 24 Months
  • Foreseen starting date: December 2020
  • Work Hours: Full Time 40.0 Hours per Week
  • Location: Belval

The position is funded by the ERA Chair SanDAL in Mathematical Statistics and Data Science

YOUR ROLE

  • Collaborate with the members of the team to create and keep updated new R packages
  • Perform code reviews to ensure performance
  • Design and develop tests using test automation tools
  • Process data sets and contribute to the scientific production of the team

YOUR PROFILE

  • A Master degree is required in computer science/engineering or in another field but with equivalent proven experience in software development
  • Strong programming skills in R and C++, knowledge of Python is considered an advantage
  • Have a taste for statistics and their applications to Life Sciences and Industry, some knowledge of Statistics is considered an asset
  • Good written and oral skills in English
